Group Therapy

ANGER MANAGEMENT

This ongoing group uses cognitive behavioral techniques to help you explore, manage, and transform anger.  This course will help clients learn to identify triggers, cues and strategies that will allow the individual to create a tool box of skills for managing emotions.

CHRONIC PAIN

Exploring challenges and affects on quality life, coping with chronic pain, meditation and mindfulness, DBT skills, CBT skills, and other skills as needed. This is a combination skills, psychoeducation, and supportive group.

COPING SKILLS

This group focuses on a wide rang of coping skills that might include grounding, breathing, and using modalities such as CBT and DBT. 

FAMILY/PARENT - SUD IN FAMILIES

This group focuses on substance use disorders and how to talk about them. These are a weekly class with a rotating topics related to substances and substance use disorder with the aim of helping parents and families understand what SUD is and how to talk about substance use with their loved ones. Topics include: Stigma, Problem gambling/gaming, Alcohol use, and Substances of abuse 101.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT

IOP content will cover a wide range of topics and education.  These topics include, but are not limited to, early recovery skills (ERS), education on mental health issues, education on substance abuse, relapse prevention skills, and support groups.  Some education topics include emotional issues, such as depression and anxiety, education on drug dependencies, stress management, goal setting, conflict resolution, assertiveness, how to correct thinking errors, common challenges, managing life, stages of change, communication, and many more.  In IOP, clients learn important sets of skills for establishing and maintaining abstinence from drugs and alcohol.  The group attempts to help the addicted person learn strategies that will make it easier to maintain sobriety.

NATURAL MINDFULNESS

Destress, relax and rejuvenate with a natural mindfulness skills guide.

Immerse yourself in nature and experience the benefits of being fully present in the medicine of the natural world. A gentle natural mindfulness skills walk offers a rich experience that can improve mood and provide relaxation.

RELAPSE PREVENTION

This group focuses on learning and applying improved coping skills related to mindfulness, destressed, tolerance, interpersonal relationships, and regulation of negative emotions. 

SENIOR GROUP

This group focuses on processing the stages of aging including grief, loss, accepting physical changes, and mental decline.
